Ben Harris grew up in Amherst, Massachusetts with a large garden, dairy farm across the street, and fishing hole in his backyard. These experiences continue to define Ben’s approach to cooking and living. After a voyage across the country and back, Ben found his way into a great kitchen in Santa Cruz, California, where he was able to connect with local farms and write seasonal menus. Before entering the Pizzaiolo Family, he worked at Jardinière in San Francisco and Camino in Oakland. Ben is now the Chef de Cuisine at Pizzaiolo. When he’s not in the kitchen look for him in his garden or searching for trout on a beautiful stretch of river.
