Kiyomi was born and raised in Berkeley, California and began her hospitality career folding napkins and polishing silverware at the restaurants her mother managed when she was just 9 years old. She moved into other front-of-the-house roles when she was 15 at her step-father's restaurant, Cesar, on Shattuck Ave and spent the next 9 years working there. Kiyomi has travelled and lived in other parts of the country and spent 2 years abroad in Japan, but has always stuck to a career in hospitality. She loves the familiarity of the gourmet food scene in the East Bay and the overlap of communities from the various restaurants she has worked. She hopes to bring people together with love and good food everywhere she goes.
